Based on hardness, boards are classified as follows:

1. Rigid boards

3.Rigid-flex boards
Based on the number of circuit layers, boards are classified as follows:
1.Single-sided boards
2.Pseudo-double-sided boards
3.Plated-hole double-sided boards
4.Multi-layer boards
Single-sided boards: Conductive wiring is only present on one side of the dielectric substrate, and the component holes are punched out by a die.
Pseudo-double-sided boards: Conductive wiring is present on both sides of the dielectric substrate, but the wiring on both sides is not conductive, and the component holes are punched out by a die.
Plated-hole double-sided boards: Conductive wiring is present on both sides of the dielectric substrate, and the wiring on both sides is interconnected through plated holes or other reinforced holes.
Multi-layer boards: Contain three or more conductive layers, insulated between layers by dielectric material, and interconnected through plated holes.
